PR and Digital Marketing Account Coordinator

The position of Account Coordinator supports the account leads and is responsible for assisting with the implementation of customized PR and digital marketing campaigns that meet and exceed our clients’ goals.  This is an entry level position with rapid growth opportunity.


Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field

  • 2 years of PR and social media experience

  • Strong knowledge in outdoor recreation and fitness industries

  • Strategic, well-organized thinker – competent in developing a campaign and handling all elements from start to finish. Must have the capability to multi-task.

  • Action-oriented – ability to work quickly and thoroughly, is self-motivated and can meet deadlines

  • Impeccable verbal and written communication

  • Detail oriented and organized in all tasks

  • Innate desire for industry knowledge and professional growth

  • Ability and willingness to work in a collaborative environment with colleagues and clients

  • Willingness to travel to trade shows, sales meetings and media events

  • Experience in social media - including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube

  • Experience building and managing social media giveaways and cross promotions

  • Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, other social media management software

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google AdWords and SEO

  • Experience identifying and creating campaigns for target audience

Responsibilities will include:

  • An in-depth understanding of client(s) voice, products, vision, and goals

  • Direct interaction with client(s) to develop, implement, manage and provide analytics for creative PR and promotional campaigns.

  • Work closely with Darby Communications’ digital team to ensure accurate brand messaging and voice

  • Researching editorial and promotional opportunities

  • Deliverables in the form of editorial placement and exposure across a variety of outlets

  • Providing timely, detailed reports for client(s)

  • Building and sustaining of contact database and industry relationships

  • Staying abreast of industry trends within the PR and digital marketing fields

  • Representing Darby Communications in a professional manner that mirrors our mission statement and core values

  • Plan paid social media advertising strategies and budgets and report on performance to clients

  • Monitor social media progress using web analytic tools

  • Review success of social media and newsletter campaigns and work with digital team to develop tactics to improve
