Position: Inside Sales / Rider Engagement Representative

Reports to: National Accounts Manager

Summary:

Cane Creek’s Inside Sales Group/Rider Engagement Rep (ISG) is an extroverted communicator who enjoys speaking with people from all disciplines of cycling and communicating how our products can enhance their experience. The ISG person will proactively contact assigned Independent Bicycle Dealers on a regular basis with the intention of increasing market share and having more Cane Creek products sold in the IBD space. The primary objective of this position will be growing sales while continuing to provide exceptional customer service; be it over the phone, in-person or by email, with new and current dealers and consumers.  The IGC will work alongside other members of the Sales Team to handle all inbound customer calls, B2B orders,  and e-mailed or will-call orders. They will also provide answers to customer service issues and report on any repeat issues, leading to better experiences for all users of our products.

In addition, they will occasionally represent Cane Creek at events, races, and trail rider engagements and conduct in-house tours.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Proactively calling dealers within assigned territories to talk about Cane Creek and our products, with the intention of selling products to them.

• Inside support for our Outside Sales Rep (and responsible for certain accounts)

• Maintaining and increasing sales volume, while meeting or exceeding pre-set weekly sales quotas. • Accurately and efficiently entering orders into our ERP system from all dealers or consumers, be it by email, phone or walk-in.

• Assisting with, and occasionally traveling to trade shows, rider engagements, special events, races and other sales/company events that may occur on weekends.

• Entering and handling RMA’s.

• Receiving and managing incoming calls and emails on all subjects.

• Attracting potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting other products and services and providing product, promotion and pricing information.

• Coordinating and tracking customer requests and qualified leads, and performing business development tasks.

• Managing backorders and communicating with customers on their orders.

• Learning and maintaining technical knowledge on all Cane Creek products and components. • Maintaining customer and warranty databases by inputting data and updates.

• Promptly addressing consumer issues in a timely and positive fashion that has the potential to garner a  customer for life.

• Occasionally conducting facility tours for customers and groups, responding to walk-ins and will-calls (trying to upsell), and keeping the front area organized and clean.

• Other duties as markets shift.

• This is an in-house position located in our Fletcher, NC facility.

• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing markets and demands in a fast-paced working environment. • Ability to travel to industry events to represent Cane Creek as needed.

• Be results oriented – all actions should support an immediate and profitable result (i.e sale). • Must be able to handle multiple projects at the same time.

• ERP system a plus.

• Love for cycling and knowledge of the mechanics of a bike is a plus.
